Salad in a Jar
This might seem odd to some people, but this is a great way to prepare a quick meal before you hit the road! Your salads can be made up to 5 days before you're ready to eat them!
Here are some suggestions to get your salad started:
- Mason Jar with Lid - Glass/Plastic - (number depending on how many salads you would like to serve)
- Lettuce/Spinach
- Carrots - Cut to your preference
- Tomatoes - Preferably Cherry Tomatoes
- Cheese - Preferably shredded / Flavor of your choice
- Mushrooms - Preferably sliced
- Croutons - Size of your choice
- Raisins - Dried Cranberries can also be used
- Dressing - Flavor of your choice / *Can be put at bottom of Mason Jar, but do not let it touch the lettuce! You may also put it in another container other than the Mason Jar
